Puffinater Posted February 15, 2012 #2176 Share Posted February 15, 2012 May have used LMT for the first and last time. I had read about foreign transaction fees being applied to charges made to them and sure enough it happened to me. Even though this appears to be something they are quite aware of they will not remove the charge without a copy of my credit card statement. Not happening. Did a copy and paste and received an email back stating they wanted a copy of my statement. I don't think this is something a customer should have to go through. So while I got a great price their customer relations/service gets a big fat zero. Looks like it is back to PL and Hotwire for me.
stellababy Posted February 20, 2012 #2177 Share Posted February 20, 2012 When you bid on Priceline, I don't see an option where you get to choose hotels to bid on... just #stars and location. Is this correct?
Kikkycat Posted February 20, 2012 #2178 Share Posted February 20, 2012 When you bid on Priceline, I don't see an option where you get to choose hotels to bid on... just #stars and location. Is this correct? That is correct. You don't know for certain what hotel you're getting until you've paid for it. But you can have a very good idea, or at least narrow the possibilities, by researching this thread and betterbidding.

Showed up after midnight to a great salsa band, dancing, and drinks!! It is a beautiful place with a great pool and right on the beach!! Starbucks across the street if you like overrated and even more overpriced coffee :) CVS 1/2 block away for toiletries. Only about 10 minutes to the port. Enjoy!! stefanny28 Posted March 20, 2012 #2192 Share Posted March 20, 2012 We need 1 night pre-cruise and also one night post cruise but we are a family or 3 (Dec 22nd and Dec 30th). I was thinking of trying Priceline (area 8, resort) but I am not sure that the resorts/hotels will accommodate 3 in their room. I have also checked Hotwire for Dec 22nd, and it is showing a 4* with these amenities (casino, smoke free room, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, golf nearby and spa services). Does anyone know which hotel is it? Should I just try Priceline and then call the resort to see if we could get 2 beds? Thanks

Cruisin KLS Posted March 21, 2012 #2195 Share Posted March 21, 2012 Thanks, How about the resorts on Priceline? Do you think they will accommodate 3 people? Pretty sure after you win you can call the hotel and request beds...2 full in the case of 3 people. With Priceline you also need to specify how many people will be in the room I think. stefanny28 Posted March 22, 2012 #2196 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Sorry to ask again, but I wanted to be sure before bidding on Priceline. I saw the betterbidding Priceline hotels list on their website. There is a fee for the resorts(Marriott, Intercontinental, Conrad, etc). Is there only one 4* hotel in San Juan on Priceline? the Concha? So does it means that if it is the hotel that I want, I should check area8 and 4* and keep bidding until I get it? Does this hotel also charge a resort fee? Thanks

From what I can tell, the only 4* they are showing is La Concha. Not sure how to advise you to bid on it. -Kristi

Not sure but if it is, better bidding needs to update it's site. Unless I am not looking in the right spot.
