Another Cruise Posted September 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2006 Does Princess have a separate lounge/waiting area for Platinum/Elite members at Pier 35 in San Francisco? We want to get to pier early because it is the Parade of Ships and air show for Fleet Week and traffic will be heavy.
LARGIN Posted September 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2006 No special lounges.. You can drop off your luggage and walk to Pier 39. It is around a 10 minute walk and has lots of shops..
spongerob Posted September 23, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2006 We got there a bit early and boarding hadn't started, although we were able to check in. There is a waiting area upstairs with seats, but trust me, if that represents a Platinum/Elite lounge, I'd rather stand in line and have fun with the hoi polloi. The seats were stained with water and bird droppings in many cases, plus there was no heat at all. (This is a port of San Francisco facility, not Princess) Drop your bags off, and go over the Fisherman's Wharf area, you'll enjoy yourself far more. Mapu Posted September 23, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2006 Drop your luggage and then enjoy San Francisco. The Ferry building (ten minute walk) has a great deal to offer. You can even buy a supply of wine to take with you. Gail
Nancyquilts Posted September 23, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2006 And if you don't want to walk, there are streetcars that go right along the Embarcadero.
