dkjretired Posted September 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2006 There will be an annoucement at 11 on new regs regarding liquids and jels. Apparently the new regs will allow them to be carried if you purchase them beyond security screening areas.
Jarronwood Posted September 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2006 Dont think this is the same for flights out of the UK to USA since in yesterday's papers (Sunday) there is a big article saying for those travelling to USA no gels or liquids. poetic license Posted September 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2006 Dont think this is the same for flights out of the UK to USA since in yesterday's papers (Sunday) there is a big article saying for those travelling to USA no gels or liquids. This is true. So if you are traveling TO the UK from the US, the bans are slightly less restrictive. Flying FROM the UK, the liquid bans will still be in place. There is already a thread started with this information on it: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=418336
dileep Posted September 25, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2006 I would be happy if they allowed toothpaste in my carry on bag!
Jarronwood Posted September 25, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2006 Does anyone know how long these restrictions will last. We are departing UK for Miami mid February and I always buy a nice bottle of perfume duty free. Having said that, what are the prices like in Miami for perfume as against here in the UK? A good bottle of perfume in the duty free could be something like 50 euros but thats for a bottle of Prade Eau du Perfum. Any comparisons would be greatly received ....
