They cannot reduce your rate by their commission. All they can do is give OBC or gift(s).

 

Ummm... No. I don't get as much of a discount as some others here but I'll take the 8% off-the-top discount I do get from my TA.That was almost $400 off the top on our last cruise and a good $900 off of the cruise before that. I'd rather have the up front discount than OBC or a bottle of wine.

 

He is also a really nice guy and super responsive. On another note, my wife's sisters and spouses are visiting next week and my wife decided we should all attend a breakfast event with made to order omelets, lots of champagne, etc. while they are here. It's a charity deal and tickets are being sold by the local Rotary Club. My wife said she was sure our TA belonged and called to ask if he was selling tickets. He had two left and said, "Be my guest". He left them in an envelope for her free of charge. Like I said, he's a nice guy. :D
