cruisin 07 Posted October 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2006 Our group of 8 will be staying at the Denali Princess Lodge in Jun 07. My Mom has been up graded to attend the Music of Denali Dinner Theater. That leaves 7 more to purchase tickets. One stipulation for our group is that we all eat dinner together. Mom wants her kids around her at least once per day.:) Toursaver has a 2 for 1 coupon for the Cabin Nite. They both cost about the same ($49 pp for Denali/$57 pp for Cabin). Questions: 1: Which show is better (also food) or would you recommend to skip both all together? 2: Been told that the Cabin Nite Theater is about 200 yds from the Princess Lodge. True? As always appreciate your responses.
Budget Queen Posted October 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2006 I've only been to the Cabin Night- very good with the toursaver. Probably would not consider going at full price. It is "downhill" from the Princess Lodge. Not good at estimating distances, but walkable with no mobility limitations.
cruisin 07 Posted October 22, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted October 22, 2006 Thanks again Budget Queen. Seems you are the only one looking these days.
Chat Noir Posted October 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2006 We enjoyed the Cabin Nite dinner theater... haven't seen Music of Denali. The food was good, entertainment was fun. Agree with Budget Queen... wouldn't pay full price, but not bad with the TourSaver. We likely won't see it again, even with TourSaver 2/1, but are glad we did once. If you decide on Cabin Nite, when you pick up your tickets be sure to get directions from the desk clerk to the Cabin Nite building. Though not far, the directions aren't well marked, and parking isn't near the actual building (although there are shuttles outside the ticket area - which we were not made aware of, either). Not a problem if you can walk easily... unfortunately, I'd recently fractured an ankle, and was about done for by then, at the end of our trip!
