I am one of the winners. Still yet to receive any information regarding this cruise. If you read the fine details it says that packets will be mailed out Jan. 16th. However when I spoke to the woman she made it sound like she was mailing my packet out right away. She said of course I must have 100 questions but there would be an 800 number that I could call. I thanked her and have been checking my mail ever since. I think that if they don't mail the packets till 1/16 and you have to make air fare and arrangements (possibly hotel and work time off) it really gives you no time. I am still very happy I won but I wish I actually had some info. Plus when Monte wins I want to be ready with all my planning. Right Monte!!!

Still hoping for you Monte

Patti, on another site, a winner posted that they have received their packet. According to them, the information in the packet states that they have until Dec 31, 2007 to take the cruise. They also stated that it says their cabin is an oceanview cabin. Don't know why they would say they have received them if they haven't. Maybe NCL is not sending them all at the same time, and the person that you spoke to doesn't know that. Maybe they will send the last packets out on Jan 16th. Who knows? There won't be one coming to me anyway, I am "Mrs. Unlucky" when it comes to winning anything!:(

Shoreguy has removed himself from the contest. He didn't think he could squeeze another cruise in. (must be tough....lol) I on the other hand could manage to squeeze one in.......

I also believe that Host Cecilia and Cosmopolitan are entering from CC members. (I'm sure there are others too.) Mmmmm that special Cruise Critic members group win after the regular contest sounds better everyday.

Of course, I literally never win anything, so I keep entering so that the rest of you have a better chance....:D :D

Patti.....I'm also a winner....and have yet to receive my package. Called 2 weeks ago and was told that the packages are sent out on Fridays. Info I got said that mine was sent out on the 1st of Dec. I was the Nov 18th winner(Announced on the 19th). We are beginning to question the viability of the trip, because of exactly the questions re time and air fare etc, that you pose. Oh, it would be so easy if air fare is available.

Watching for the mailman!:)

I am also from New Joisey.. Yes I have sailed NCL once before on the Dawn. I have also cruised Royal Carribbean. I am booked on the Spirit for April 7th, 2006. So I will experience another NCL ship. We loved the Dawn. My kids especially. My oldes son still IM's a lot of the kids from that cruise. Most are local (NJ, NY Conn PA) because we sail out of NYC.. I don't know if was the mix of kids but by far my kids enjoyed the Dawn sailing the best. Hopefully they will love the Spirit too. I think it will be a lot of kids since it is Easter Week.

So after I win, the count will only be 3 CC members? We need more winners here and time is running out.

;)

Keystone-My luck seems to be slightly better than yours. I actually did win something once! At the Disneyland 30th birthday party, I won a free one day park admission. Of course I won it only AFTER I had bought my multiday pass for my vacation. The free one is still here somewhere. Wonder if they would honor it after 20 some years!

Here's the story of my luck from this summer:

Several of us in our party played bingo: all but two of us won...(one was me)

5 of us went to the art auctions. 4 won free paintings (guess who didn't)

7 of us went to the casino.....all but one of us won something...guess who.

We went to Lattitutes reception. There were 8 of us in our party at the reception. Only my wife and I didn't win at least a token gift like a hat or bag.

My sister in law and I both played Crack-its. She won $75.00. I won $5.00. (well at least it was a win... wait everyone wins at least $5.00)

5 of us went to a presentation on Princess Cruises last fall through our TA and they had a "Love Boat" Trivia contest. Oh good I can win I thought cause I'm a tv trivia buff. Two of us tied with correct answers for the top prize...they flipped a coin for the gift basket....I called heads...it was tails...

(and to make matters worse....my dad won a nifty tote bag in the drawing at the presentation!)

So, see, with me in the contest, all of you have more of a chance.....

(btw: although all of this is true, I am not complaining. I just know better than to play the lottery!!!)

Ah, don't feel badly.. there are some other chronic non-winners out there.

I've never won a thing with NCL. I'm an art auction addict and go to all of them. Nope, never won.

Go to the Latitudes cockail receptions. Nope, out of all of the door prizes, never won.

My mom and I have been entering the Happy Birthday cruise giveaway every day.. but... oh well.

(sigh!)
