The above is a photo from the new Norwegian Pearl. The lounge called "Bliss" is a sports bar/bowling alley by day and a ultra sheik night club by night. What do they expect the folks to do in this night club????;) :eek: Can only imagine what this thing will look like in a years time.

 

Here is the link for all photos of the ship for anyone interested. After looking at the rest of the photos of Bliss, I have to say that this lounge looks like something you would find in the red light district!!!!!!!!

When a client asked me about the decor of the "new" NCL ships, the best description I could give was they looked like Whore Houses furnished by IKEA.

I like some of the areas on the ship such as the Garden Villas and the lounges/dining areas but the Club Bliss and the lobby is downright U-G-L-Y.

I've heard that beds in nightclubs was an in thing in some cities but that really does look like a whorehouse with all the tacky fabrics in so many shades! Someone was having a bad day when they approved the decorating!

Yeah, crushed velvet is ewie! But as for the bed concept....we have an ultra lounge in the casino where I work and it has a giant bed/beds and it's not a big deal. People just sit and lounge on them like they would a big couch....and as for what they'd do on them? Nothing more than what you already see people doing in the darkness of nightclubs!:eek: I do agree it's pretty trashy looking. Blech...it looks like something they'd set up real quick on "While you were out".

And I only thought CCL decor was gaudy...wow. A bed in a lounge...well well..... But I have to admitt...the bowling alley sure beats the boxing ring on the freedom class of ships. Was really hoping to see that on Liberty instead of the useless boxing ring.

NCL's new ship decor is very ugly and cheap. The furnishings/colors and quality of materials are horrible. I can only imagine how bad things will look in a year.

This is a joke... right? Rest assured, if I ever sail on that ship I will NEVER set foot in that room! Absolutely ridiculous! That room is bad enough to keep someone from sailing on that ship at all!

It does remind me of a German bordello I once toured many years ago (toured, nothing else...). Missing the whips though.
