serene sea Posted July 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2004 Just wondering if one appeals more to others. The last two built Navigator and Mariner, are they somewhat different than the first 3? Are the pool areas the same on all? Thanks for your help........deciding which one to try!
cofgren Posted July 22, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2004 My favorite is the mariner of the seas. While they are all similar the airfare to orlando is much cheaper.
robinm918 Posted July 22, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2004 We've been on the Explorer and the Navigator. Next year we are trying Voyager - as my son says, he wants to go on the "Mother ship." They are very similar - it's kind of nice to get on a second time and know where everything is! The decor was different on each; and on Explorer there's just Portofino as the alternative restaurant. I'm hoping we fortunate enough to be able to try them all! Two down, three to go! Robin
Cruise Miriam Posted July 22, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2004 I've been on Explorer, Adventure and Mariner, and Mariner is my favorite of the three. I loved the artwork and the entire atmosphere of the ship. I really liked the Adventure, too, but there was something about Mariner that really appealed to me. Adventure Girl Posted July 22, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2004 I've sailed the AOS twice.....LOVED IT. Trying Voyager in September and Mariner in November....I'll have to get back to you on which one is my favorite!
BoatGirl Posted July 22, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 22, 2004 Even though the Mariner is the only Voyager class ship I have sailed, it is my favorite of any ship I've been on. She is beautiful! Very beautifully decorated (you are entertained in every stairwell and hallway!) and very easy to get around on. Although we had a mediocre room steward and a less-than-cheerful waitress at dinner, we still loved the ship and enjoyed our cruise immensely! We will definitely sail her again! RM Posted July 22, 2004 #7 Share Posted July 22, 2004 I've sailed Explorer, Mariner and Navigator. Navigator wins hands down for her beauty and class.
Firefighterhoop Posted July 22, 2004 #8 Share Posted July 22, 2004 I have done the navigator and adventure. There are pros and cons to both! I liked the Windjammer set up better on the Navigator, I liked the bars on the adventure! THe disco on the navigator (Dungeon) is awesome, and I like the glass balconies instead of the steel/metal. I guess the Navigator wins, but they are both great ships!
Ocean Boy Posted July 22, 2004 #9 Share Posted July 22, 2004 It is Explorer for me.
sailor moon Posted July 22, 2004 #10 Share Posted July 22, 2004 I love the description of the "Mother" ship! The Mariner will be our 1st voyager class. I have been wanting to try this class of ship a long time. I would love to try every ship in the RCCL line at some point!!!
raerae Posted July 22, 2004 #11 Share Posted July 22, 2004 We've only done the Explorer in the voyager class. Will do the Adventure in November!! I'm sure we'll love it as much!! Cindy ;)

JeffHatfield Posted July 22, 2004 #13 Share Posted July 22, 2004 I like the Mariner so far, mostly because it was my last cruise. But if I book the Adventure for next year, it will be my favorite since it will be my next cruise.
