Intourist for the Ukraine

Has anyone had personal experience with InTourist in Yalta or Odeessa or Sochi? Apparently they are an old tour company that existed in Soviet days and are still doing tours.

Yes, but only through our ship's excursion. They are the old Soviet apparatus attempting to survive in the modern world. So they are very well-trained and knowledgeable, but I found a bit rigid sometimes.

We used the services of Intourist, Ltd. two years ago in Yalta, Odessa and Sevastopol and had three wonderful guides. If you email me at scorpiosheila at yahoo dot com and put Intourist in the subject line, I will open the email and give you the name and contact email address for the director who arranged all our private tours. We took the ship's tour in Sochi since we wanted to tour Stalin's Dacha (which was the only highlight there). We didn't have to get a $100 visa this way either.
