valeriequeenofthesea Posted July 25, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2004 We're thinking about cruising in March or April of next year. What will the weather be like at that time? Also, does anyone know when rates change from off-season to prime rate? This will be a low-cost cruise for us because I just came off the cruise of a lifetime in Alaska and spent quite a bit of money on it, but don't regret it for a minute. It was fabulous and I'm anxious to cruise again. Thanks for any information you have.
Splinter Posted July 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2004 The rainy season and Pacific hurricaine season is late summer and early fall. I prefer winter and early spring in these ports...more whales, and not so hot. I don't think you find "season" rates on most of the cruises to this area, as most ships move to Alaska for the hotter months.
Rare hcat Posted July 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2004 Is the hurricane season as active as on the Atlantic/ Carib side of Mexico? We are booked for late Sept...hope this won't be a problem.
Splinter Posted July 30, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2004 Not usually as big, but you can get enough rain to flood streets and have flash flood dangers. Big flooding in PV a couple of years ago in August. It can really increase the humidity, and make the seas rougher going down the west coast of Baja.
