Traveller20074 Posted May 8, 2010 #1776 Share Posted May 8, 2010 still a little concerned about 11526, and the weights above us. think I'll speak with someone when I board sunday and tell them my concerns. Halya50 Posted May 8, 2010 #1777 Share Posted May 8, 2010 7411 connects to 7409 (awesome location. ) 2 different categories though. are these children in the cabins? or all adults? here is a site: https://www.bookccl.comwww.london.aradiafitness.com/irman/bookccl/the_fleet/glory/glory.htm you want to be looking at 8B scroll to the left and click on connecting cabins Serene56 YOU ROCK!!!!!! In both the balcony cabins are two couples, no kids. In the inside cabin are three 20 year old 2-25 year olds. Do these cabins connect balcony? I was so set on the cabins that I had choose before, either 7360 and 7358 OR 7352 and 7356 but I think all that white empty spot is where the stewards have the carts, vacumms for morning, I read somewhere on this site that noise early in the morning from the stewards.. Is there any other balcony cabins that you think are awesome both in the same category (reg pricing) on that floor. and one inside for our kids that is close. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, I have read and read and read, and it seems soon as I find something, I find out a complaint from it eg. noise etc. Thanks ever so much for all your help!!! Helen well, your 20 year olds will have to get two cabins since the cabins only hold a maixmum of 4 people. The white area you are seeing has nothing to do with cabin stewards-- it houses the area of room service and the cabin directly across from there will get the noise of the glasses and the rumblings of carts. if thats the area you want===go to the other side of the ship. we had 7411 on the Freedom in March and it was by far the best, convenient location we ever had. What are your thoughts Serene56 on connecting balconies 7414 and 7410 (these are connecting balconies correct?) Also for the 3 older kids, what do you think about cabin 7394? Since you are so knowledgeable, what side is your favorite on a ship? We were on the other side 6469 on the freedom on our first cruise a few months back, and I just thought this might be a nice change? thanks again Helen So many thanks for all of your valuable imput. Yes, see my post above this one, the kids (3) are sharing an inside cabin. Did you like the Freedom, we LOVED it, got back and already obsessed about our second cruise. madge57 Posted May 8, 2010 #1781 Share Posted May 8, 2010 (edited) what about cabin 5104 on the Miracle!! yeah or nah? Well actually its too late we already have that room. When we booked we were in a 1A but Carnival need the 1A's to store art so the took all the 1A's on the riviera deck. And the upgraded us to deck 5 cabin 5104. at that time that was all that was left and it was close to some of the others we are cruising with. No extra for it because it was their fault not ours. TabFox Posted May 9, 2010 #1782 Share Posted May 9, 2010 Anyone have any feedback for this room? It's on the Lido deck. We wanted to avoid having my mother do too much walking to get to the pools and food.

We wanted to avoid having my mother do too much walking to get to the pools and food. your cabin is located by the forward elevators. its still a little walk to the food--but out the door to the pools. I would have went down to the Empress deck and took a cabin close to the aft elevator- 2 decks up to the food/pools 2 decks down for the lounges, casino, etc. Edited May 10, 2010 by serene56
CanWeGoYet? Posted May 10, 2010 #1784 Share Posted May 10, 2010 Serene, I need your input on the cabins on the Amsterdam. I am considering an ocean view, it looks like the G category way aft on the main deck are bigger cabins. I am just concerned with the possibility of vibration or a lot of noise from the crew right outside the window. The other option would be to upgrade to the C category cabins on lower promenade - I was on the phone with a rep who said if we booked this category it would not be under the galley. I was looking at C3373, but after measuring distances to me it looks like it would in fact still be under the galley area. To me that would be the worst location, I sure don't want to be paying extra to hear pots & pans banging 24/7. Can you give me any feedback on these cabins? Thanks in advance for any help! serene56 Posted May 10, 2010 #1785 Share Posted May 10, 2010 I never sailed on those Dam ships. But from experience on other ships on the aft. you get vibrations/shuddering when leaving or entering a port. Nothing that is really bad.
CanWeGoYet? Posted May 10, 2010 #1786 Share Posted May 10, 2010 Ah, you know so much about the ships in general I thought you had been on them all. ;) Well, it's bigger than the other cabins in it's class - has a window instead of a porthole so I think we'll switch. Plus less $ than the C outsides.

Kristin1112 Posted May 12, 2010 #1788 Share Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) Serene.. Posting here as I know you frequent this thread... Doubt you remember, but on the Liberty 3 years ago (August 2007) you organized a roll call/member cruise. Mark and I went, as did our friends Hank and Julie. (Maybe you remember that Mark and I were the ones to get the comp upgrade to the Penthouse suite and everyone harassed us for it???) We had a fabulous time with you, your family, and the rest of the Liberty roll call crew. Just wanted to leave you a note that Mark and I and Hank and Julie and a dozen other folks are headed back on the Liberty this weekend for our (Mark's and my) WEDDING cruise. We're getting married on St Thomas a week from today... We're super excited - cant wait to hit all the familar places! We have some fabulous memories with you and wanted you to know we're headed back... xoxoox Kristin and Mark Edited May 12, 2010 by Kristin1112

bgarbus Posted May 12, 2010 #1791 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Has anyone been in a cabin just under the Gym/Salon on the Carnival Conquest Class Ships??? NCTribeFan Posted May 12, 2010 #1793 Share Posted May 12, 2010 I believe it's very odd, Dianne. If you do an advanced search, you should find a thread on the main Carnival board about 1A cabins. There was a pic of 1201. Use "everything 1A" in the search string, select "thread titles only" and select the Carnival board only. I posted in it recently. Lots of good stuff in that thread. Technically, it should be on this board. When you enter the cabin, the closet was across from the door, the sofa to the right, the bathroom to the left, and the single bed was back in the corner - all the way forward - across from the bathroom. Very odd layout. Not one I would select, but if sailing solo (and no problems with motion that far forward), it could be interesting.

Any experiences? depends on what area of that front- gym opens very early. those ones across the front are located right under the treadmills. And you might hear people running--depending on how hard they are running. The cabins toward the left are under the weights-- and people DO drop the weights from time to time. In Sept when we were in Aruba--people got married on the beach at the radisson during sunset-- awesome, beautiful. weather was amazing. The hotel did a good job of getting the kids outta the water too for the ceremony so the photos didnt have the kids in the background. oooo, its gonna be beatiful.
