Is it true? - No free Pizza on Sea Princess?

We're considering a Sea Princess cruise for the second time - last time was five cruises ago, and have been looking at the deck plans and reading the princess.com website info to remind ourselves about the restaurants and amenities. To my horror I don't see the Prego's Pizza listed  - just the Riviera Grill (burgers & hot dogs) and for the life of me I can't remember whether they have Pizza by the pool or not now.. This could be a showstopper for us (well me:o )- can someone confirm either way?

cheers

PS- wish they served Boddington's beer on the whole fleet and not just the Sea Princess:(

sunpizza.jpg<========I remember it now:)

Princess need to update their online deck plans as the Sea Princess one is way wrong (Regency and Marquis restaurants:confused: ), plus there's no mention of a pizzeria - they could have lost some punters:rolleyes:

actually, they do say that there is a "pizzeria/trattoria" on the ship....look on their website under "dining options per ship"

Thanks Chrysalis (again) that's a much better and accurate link - I'll ignore the deck plans and other nonsense links they have from here on;)

It is a shame that there's no pizza by the pool though. I seem to remember that they won't let you order pizza to go - is that right? ie you can only eat it if you are seated in the restaurant? Would be the next best thing if you could phone an order then come down and collect it, then take it back to the pool to eat?:)

Living in Europe and close to Italy - We really like the thin crust variety..

Just noticed that the Caribbean Princess has a Prego Pizzeria by the pool which is open in the evening until midnight:eek: Our next B2B cruises are going to be a pizza heaven:D :D

Verdi's on the Sea Princess is located just outside the casino. Love that little place on all the Sun Class ships.

I agree though, it is sit down pizza (along with other Italian Dishes) only, no take outs.

We normally have lunch (and dinner ) there on several days/evenings. And even for a late night snack.

Leaving together - just me and my pizza.

Alex: Remember my big blue bagalinni bag. Kathy didn't like my carrying it everywhere. I need it for shopping. I take all sizes of zip-loc baggies so, after our pizza arrives, we take a couple of bites and then, into the bagalinni (& a zip-loc) goes the rest. Pizza To Go.

Nobody has ever asked to see inside my bagalinni.

Last year on the Sea Princess, you could not take out a pizza, BUT YOU COULD ORDER ONE FROM ROOM SERVICE! Did it twice and enjoyed it on our balcony.

fair winds

Dave

OHHH wonder if we can do that on the SUN?? The kids would love that and just might be ordering a whole lot of room service:rolleyes: :D

See ya in 2 weeks Toto and will look up the coffee maker to see if he still has it! Will also report on Wayne and the Bungalows.

Take Care.

Have a great cruise rotti. And say hello to the casino gang for me, I miss them as they sure were a lot of fun. Hope the coffee maker is still working well for Florin. Pass along huge hugs for me to Florin, and Vlad also.

My daughter loved the pizza on the Island. Just about everyday we would take her over to the pizzeria by the pool at noon or around 5:30 (before it closed). We were considering the Sea for this last December but didn't book. Probably a good idea (girl likes plain cooking).

leaving with the pizza, a bagalinni and even from room service! I don't ever remember seeing pizza on the room service menu - did I miss that or is it a non-menu item which has to be requested using charm?

Thanks for all your help!

Alex

I thoughtI had read the pizza place on the SUN was open for dinner too, is this the case or does it close early like the places at the pool??

On the Sea Princess it stayed open until either 10 or 11 PM. It did not close early.

I can't remember what time it closed on the Sun or Dawn, but I would guess the same time.

We often dine there for dinner as they offere even more items then they do at lunchtime.

Can someone tell me what the deal is with Pizza on the Crown?

Room service?

Sit down only?

By the pool?

24 hours?

Inquiring (pizza loving) minds want to know! Thanks.

While I'm asking - it's a little off topic - but what kind of food can you can 24/7? Just the limited room service menu, or are there other places to go? (I'm talking "free" here - what's included without a surcharge.)
