kruzerci Posted February 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2007 I helped my MIL plan her cruise to Canada last year when they announced the sailings. We decided that Grandeur would be the better ship for a cool weather cruise, because of the covered solarium. I love the Voyager class ships, but I don't think they would be good for a cold climate cruise. Either one would be great, though. I would base it on price and cabin choice. crisndeefromde Posted February 5, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2007 We love the Explorer and we would love to do this cruise but our crop time starts in September. Depending on what time in September you go the temperatures are going to vary. You aren't going inland in Canada and New England still tends to be warm into October. On the other hand the covered solarium sounds good too. We heard a rumor about our Explorer however that it was going to be fitted for a cover on her way from Miami to her new home in Bayonne in May. We will try to find out more on this in a few weeks when we are back on her again. We booked a 12 nite southern caribbean tour for 2008. 4 sea days and not being able to use the pool is kind of a bummer but maybe we will get surprised.
