zqvol Posted February 16, 2007 #26 Share Posted February 16, 2007 This looks kinda scary! Look how the Celebration looks in this picture, is it just me or does it look like it is about rusted our and pretty banged up. Thank goodness I'm a Royal Caribbean cruiser :D . http://image55.webshots.com/155/1/95/64/2789195640080150150IlchNe_ph.jpg Looks like a very typical ship. They are all constantly being painted and to be concerned about rust on the hull is frivolous. It could just as easily have been an RCCL ship that you saw. Ask any of or Navy veterans and they are likely to tell you that some one is painting the outside of the ship all day every day and they never stay up with the rust. cruisenguy Posted February 16, 2007 #27 Share Posted February 16, 2007 I was on the Crown Princess in late July when it had been in service for a month or two at most. At one port, they were painting the ship and there were already rust marks in some places, mainly around the anchors. And that was on a ship that still had that "new ship smell"
