Genesis Class Ship is Going to be SO Big That...

Recommended Posts

The Genesis ships are so big that they will need two terminals for embarkation and debarkation, which will occur concurrently. Embarkation will take place in Port Everglades - debarkation will take place in Miami.

(Just when you thought the thread was dead......)

The Genesis ships are so large, the lifeboats have their own Cruise Critic forums (They often bash the Carnival lifeboats as being gaudy, but the rations are better, etc....)

The Genesis ships are so large, mischievous kids don't have the energy to push all the elevator buttons

The Genesis ships are so large, Fox is doing a "Cops" spinoff chronicling the daily life of the Chair Hog Patrol

Genesis will be so big there will be an onboard taxicab service (at a reasonable fee, naturally) to get passengers back to their cabins, especially late at night :)

Genesis will be so big landing lights will be installed on deck 12.

Genesis will be so big that embarkation and disembarkation for every sailing will commence on the same day.

There should be 4 areas for 6,000 folks as one line would be hell as 3000 on Freedom was. A line for Diamond Plus, one for Diamond, one for Paltinum & Gold & one for new cruisers. Same areas for tenders by class. All will be a much happier cruise.

The Genesis will be sooo big that they can dredge a canal down the middle of the Royal Promenade and offer gondola rides....

The Genesis will be so large passengers will have to line up at the bus stop to ride public transportation to the pool....

The Genesis will be so large that rooms will have to be equipped with microwaves to warm up the room service deliveries....

The Genesis will be so large that every balcony SHOULD have its own hot tub....

The Genesis will be so large that RCI is in talks with Sea World to partner up and offer an onboard pool to swim with the dolphins, and pet the stingrays. And if the negotiations with Shamu go well, he'll be doing daily shows at 12, 2, and 4.

The Genesis will be so large it will have it's own historic district....

The Genesis will be so large that it will offer its own excusions! No need to leave the ship, just ride the zip line down from the Viking Crown Lounge to the bow.... ride a waverunner in the wave pool .... lay on the sandy beaches of the upper decks ... turn on a faucet and climb the waterfalls of the rock wall ... go tubing through the caves of the crew quarters .... etc... etc ... etc...

Love those excursions and the swim with the Dolphins/Stingrays -- I think you hit the nail on the head with these suggestions.

Form a physics standpoint - the smoke stack cannot be tall enough to reach the moon (The ship would have to be bigger than the earth. However, the rock climbing wall will be tall enough that there will be a base camp half way up, and Sherpas will help the climbers up the upper sections of the wall.
