Mercury Boarding?

We asre saiing on 4/6/07 7 day Mex. Riv from San Diego leaving at 5:00

my paper work from Celebrity says broarding at 2:00.

Any of you who have sailed this were you able to board before 2:00?

We have always boarded around 11:30 a.m., but that does depend on when the previous cruise cleared all their passengers.

We were on the Feb.9 sailing and boarded a little after 11:00. a.m.

We were on the Jan 29/07 Mexican Riviera cruise and boarded the Mercury at 11:30 am. They greet you with Champagne!! :D

 

We went and had lunch first, before checking our stateroom. Stateroom was ready when we got to it so left our carry on's, then we toured the ship.

 

Luggage arrived in the late afternoon...evening.

 

Great ship...excellent service!!

You may not be escorted to your stateroom if you board before 2 PM, as staff are busy with jobs elsewhere. But I would rather board early than have an escort! We boarded recently at noon.

Hello,

 

We sailed on Mercury, Mex. Riv. on Feb. 9. While you may board "early", we arrived shortly before Noon. The lunch buffet was opened and many folks were in line for lunch at that time. An announcement was made at about 1 p.m. that you could then proceed to your staterooms.

We too were on the Feb.9th sailing. We arrived and boarded around 11:30am. The process took less than 20 minutes. I never pay attention to that 2pm boarding. We had a great time. Enjoy.
