carol459 Posted March 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2007 We are cruising on the Jewel(4/15). We are doing 4 days pre-cruise in Ft. Lauderdale, the cruise is 12 days, and we are staying post-cruise in Amsterdam(19days total). Would like to know if RCCI offers laundry specials during their cruises? Any input would be appreciated and would help us figure what to pack. Thanks Carol and Rick

They also offer a pressing service for a reduced price.

carol459 Posted March 29, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted March 29, 2007 Everyone, Thanks for your input. We'll have to be choosy with what we pack. Cruise on Carol and Rick
cb at sea Posted March 30, 2007 #7 Share Posted March 30, 2007 If any of the hotels (pre or post cruise) have laundry facilities, I'd do my own! It doesn't take THAT much time and it would be considerably cheaper than the ship's service!

I take a small bottle of special detergent for my swimsuit and delicates and rinse them out in the sink after each days wear (the shower stalls have lines to hang for drying) I find this works well and my suit was always dry by the next am. Worked for the odd light tshirt and silk blouse as well. We had some of our clothes pressed when we arrived and it was very reasonable. Our steward was great - I had a pair of slacks that lost their hem and she arranged to have them hemmed up no problem (and no charge!) You could see if your steward will work a deal for you given your stay in Amsterdam post cruise. I wouldnt imagine the laundry would be too busy the last days of the cruise and they may be willing to do a "special" for you (doesnt hurt to ask)
