Kissing Annie on Holland America

How many folks remember (dear departed) "Kissing Annie" on the long HAL world voyages? She would book two suites (one for her, the other for her clothes). Legend has it, she never wore the same outfit twice.

 

She was very short, but had loads of "spunk". She would dance with all the officers and EVERYONE (I mean everyone of the officers) remembers the fun of dancing with Kissing Annie.

Yes, I do indeed remember her. I sailed with her only once, the 2002 Asia Pacific Cruise aboard the Volendam. She was quite a character. She danced not only with the officers, but with any available male. And, I am told, she expected a kiss, at least from the officers, when the dance was over.

 

She is a memorable part of what was a most memorable cruise!
