Tux or Suit for Formal Night

Recommended Posts

My Husband brings both with him. He usually wears a tux to match my dress at least one formal night. Its really the only time anymore that he gets to take advantage of wearing it. He actally owns about three tuxes that he use to have to have for work, so its nice that he can still use them and get his moneys worth.

I would take it.. if you dont use it.. who cares.. at least you had it with you for that option. ~Holly

basically...i'd tell him to bring it...even though i'd have to say that its about 30% tux....65% dark suit...and 5% "its my vacation so i'll be casual"....
i like wearing my tux...especially after dinner, when i go to the casino...and feel like james bond! lol

My dh has also worn both.

On our last cruise, he felt that he would wear his suit because he thought RCI to be less formal than our previous cruises on Celebrity and Princess. He was wrong. There were quite a few tuxes on our Mariner of the Seas cruise on June 13. Maybe as many as Celebrity.

I'd vote for the tux.
You have it.
I'm sure you look great in it (most men do).

Have a great cruise!:)

My husband hates the packing routine, so last year he rented the tux on board ( in advance) and wore it both formal nights... it was the best,,, no muss no fuss on the packing... brought his own dress shoes and had a tux shirt from before that was custom made( that way he knew it would fit) It also left me with the room in the luggage for 6 extra pairs of shoes ( which I didn't wear!)
