Elation Sale For Fall 2005

Thought I'd let everyone know that I just received an e-mail from my PVP about several sailing dates in the fall of 2005 for $399.00 pp for a category 1A on the Elation for 7 nights. I'm assuming that other catagories are equally discounted. Haven't looked on Carnival web site, but they're probably listed there too.

Is the Elation worth going I - I looked on the website and saw a fare for $429
We were on the Elation two-three weeks ago...it wouldnt be worth going on...can you believe we had to tip the porters, cabin stewards, casino dealers, the waiter and asst waiter, and the maitre'd??...it was horrible and shocking to us!!...Camp Carnival even had the nerve to expect a tip for entertaining our tablemates two children for hours on end:eek:

I hope the waiters urinated in your soup. It seems that if you had properly researched a cruise or even just read one of the thousands of sheets of paper that carnival gives you, you would have seen that tipping is an integral part of the cruising experience. PLEASE tell me you were joking about the tipping and I will tell you I was joking about the pee.

vesw01, from experience, I can't tell you about whether the Elation is worth it. I'll be cruising her for the first time in mid September. However, I can say without reservation, that I've never been on a Carnival cruise that I didn't love!!

I am not seeing those prices on their web site(no shocker), but I am liking what I see on the Elation for December 2005. But we might be having a stork come by with a little something, so we cant be getting too excited yet :D
