For those of you who have already sailed on her, is tipping compulsory on your account, or can you decline and do as I have done in the past and tip individuals ie Room Steward/ess and waiters in Britannia. Please reply soon as we sail next Saturday - CAN'T WAIT.........

$10 each per day for your cabin steward and waiter are automatically added to your shipboard account, but these are discretionary and can be removed at the pursers office, plus all drinks carry a 15%service charge which is dived up to all the bar staff at the end of the voyage. this charge is also discretionary.

The service we received on board was excellent paticularly from our waiter and steward so we left the gratuities on the bill and paid them a little extra.

your going to have a great trip!

Just a reminder...sign the Cruise Critic visitor's log while you are on the ship. The librarian keeps it at her desk, just ask for it. Would appreciate your reporting back on how many CC signatures we have. Thanks and have a wonderful voyage.

YES, YES YES! We were thrilled to receive your post card. I did acknowledge it on the boards when it came, perhaps you missed it. That was so very thoughtful of you to do that. I have it saved among my souveniers of the QM2.

Are you saving up for next year to go again?
