JoeCruisin Posted August 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2004 Anyone know what they mean by a "no host" mini bar? That's how it's listed in the catelog but I have no idea what that means.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2004 :) "No host" mini bar - means buy use - you pay. Everyday the mini bar is checked and anything you use out of it is replaced. Whatever you use will show up on your account. :)
sail7seas Posted August 7, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2004 If You use it; you bought it. There is a price list in your cabin telling you the cost of everything included in the mini-bar.

stillfrantic Posted August 7, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 7, 2004 I want the refrigerator for ither items and asked HAL before upgrading if the steward could remove the unneeded items to make room for other things. I was told that was fine but to make sure it was my own steward and not just any steward. Or Maybe...in an SS, is there a Mini bar and a small refrigerator seperate? They are one and the same - the mini-bar is in the small refrigerator.
GrammyPL Posted August 7, 2004 #7 Share Posted August 7, 2004 I suggest that you do an inventory of what the list says when you get on board. We have found a couple of times that items were missing and we reported it to our room steward and he told the bar guy of the item gone. That way we were not charged for them. (One of the items that seem to go missing is the bottled water. The people take the water with them the morning they leave.) Penny
stillfrantic Posted August 7, 2004 #8 Share Posted August 7, 2004 Is there any additional room with the supplied items remaining to store the beer we pre ordered from ship's services? If I could the leave the items alone, that would be ideal. I would probably enjoy having a Coke while on the verandah.
jhannah Posted August 7, 2004 #9 Share Posted August 7, 2004 No. You'll have to remove some or all of what's there to get anything else in.
sail7seas Posted August 7, 2004 #10 Share Posted August 7, 2004 There might be room for one or two beer cans but that is all.
stillfrantic Posted August 7, 2004 #11 Share Posted August 7, 2004 Has anyone had trouble asking the steward to remove items, or is it a routine request?
sail7seas Posted August 8, 2004 #12 Share Posted August 8, 2004 It is quite routine and many folks ask to have their mini bar emptied.
elmorejj Posted August 8, 2004 #13 Share Posted August 8, 2004 The frig will have the beer, wine and soda in it. The mini liquors are usually on the bar area. If I want more room in the frig, I put the cans in the hassock. It has a removable lid and there`s lots of room in it....jean
jazzsea Posted August 9, 2004 #14 Share Posted August 9, 2004 We take all of the items out of the fridge and make note of them on the form. We tell our room steward and he tells the mini-bar person. Sometimes we put all the items back on the last night and sometimes we leave them all out. We do what our room steward tells us to do and have had no problems.
