Bell Ringer Posted April 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2007 When I was checking out the prices for our cruise, I found that the cost of our cabin had gone down:) . Right away, called my special TA and shortly after, have an additional $340. OBC on our account. I don't know that we will need that much plus the amount we already had, so wonder if we can put our tips on the OBC and receive vouchers for our tips. Would probably add to the vouchers, but that would help the budget. WOW. our trip is looking better every day! And only 60 days to wait.
johnjen Posted April 25, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2007 Congrats on the discount! Our cruise onboard Empress is less than a month away from yours. We are sooo much looking forward to the smaller ship!!

It is just being held by the ship. You can go to the casino cage and get cash.......... or just leave it until you do all the spa and bar appointments you want. You rang the bell! :D

The standard practice is a reduction in your cruisefare owed (if you haven't paid in full yet) or credit back on your credit card (if you have).

We are a part of a group (26) traveling together. I was just hoping that the group price didn't disqualify us from the change in price. I am thinking that the OBC was the easiest to do for the group. Now that you mention the credit, I will be asking tomorrow. My DH and I also get stock holder OBC, so we will certainly have more OBC than we would use. We don't need excursions in Bermuda, as this is our 3rd trip there. Just give us the ferry and bus pass, and let us go!

If your TA insists on it being in the form of an OBC, as petel said, you can go to the casino cashier and ask for cash. As long as you don't mind having the cash to spend in Bermuda, or carrying some home with you, you'll be able to get all of your money without needing to "spend" it. :)
Bell Ringer Posted April 25, 2007 Author #8 Share Posted April 25, 2007 Thanks. I needed that reminder of the cash from the casino. That will help me when I decide to hunt for more Lladro angels or Carol Holding paintings....:)
