Sorry if I confused you. Yes, we have cx December cruise. I just forgot to remove it. You were not seeing things.

About the OBC for stockholders - no I am not confused. The question regarded combining that OBC with other OBC's.

I merely stated that you had to be careful what you were trying to combine with the STOCKHOLDERS OBC!!!

Tom-and-Cheryl, I saw from an old thread posting from a year or two ago that you had been able to combine getting a military discount and the Stockholder OBC. I wanted to find out if it was still possible to get this. What has been your experience recently? Thanks.

We receive the military discount on ALMOST every sailing. We receive the OBC (Stockholders) on EVERY sailing. It has never been an issue.

What I WAS able to get, once or twice, but have not been able to repeat: using the Entertainment Book coupon in addition to the military discount. They have obviously tightened up those loose ends!!!

Thanks Tom. The military discount on the sailing I was interested in is not as much as we would get from the Stockholders OBC. But if we can get both, then it is not an issue.

That "reduced rate" language in the stock report makes no sense, as I doubt that anyone pays brochure rate. But I just wanted to make certain about the military discount.

Pat,

Do you have the fax #/contact name where to send that info in? If you don't, let me know and I will dig it up for you. They are usually good at it, I can speak from prior experience that they usually post your credit within like 48 hour or so.

Just let me know if you need that info.

Captain

Captain, can you send that info to me? I was just considering buying CCL stock without even knowing that you got this benefit. Sure want to take advantage of it. mudpievelour@yahoo.com. Thanks.

We used the military rate in November, received the stockholder credit ($100 for 7 day sailing) AND the Casino host decorated our room and sent us a fruit basket!!! Great vacation at a great price with an extremely generous gift. THANK YOU CARNIVAL!!! Can't wait to be platinum!!! Happy sails to all.:)

CCL and CUK :NYSE at the Annual meeting held this year in the USA here ..they raised the dividend as well extended the Shareholders benefit of a OBC for each cruise on any/all of her ships.

CALL Investor Relations and discuss that with her ASAP.

On the *NEW* US Military Promotion :;)

MIAMI, May 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In honor of Memorial Day, Carnival Cruise Lines is launching a promotion throughout the month of May that allows active and retired military personnel to book up to three "Fun Ship" staterooms for themselves and their friends and family members at special discounted rates.

Reservations must be made between May 1-31, 2007, to qualify for this promotion, which is available in conjunction with a variety of three- to eight-day "Fun Ship" cruises departing May 1, 2007 to March 31, 2008, from six convenient North American departure points.

Rates start at $199 per person for three-day cruises from Miami and Port Canaveral, Fla., and four-day cruises from Long Beach, Calif.; $249 for five- day cruises from Mobile, Ala., and Jacksonville, Fla.; $379 per person for six-day voyages from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; $399 per person for seven-day cruises from Miami; and $499 per person for eight-day cruises from Fort Lauderdale.

"Carnival is very pleased to offer this promotion which provides active and retired military personnel an opportunity to enjoy a memorable and relaxing 'Fun Ship' cruise with their friends and family members. It's our way of demonstrating our thanks and appreciation to these admirable men and women for their service to our country," said Bob Dickinson, Carnival president and CEO.

The promotion is valid for individual bookings only, capacity controlled and not applicable with any other discount offer. Fare code CPM1 must be requested during the reservations process and military personnel must provide proof of service. Certain other restrictions apply.

Carnival is the world's most popular cruise line, with a fleet of 22 "Fun Ships" operating three- to 16-day voyages to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, New England, Bermuda, Europe and the Greek Isles. ....Carnival, usually

....Royal Caribbean, always

Stoneyard wrote: It would be really nice and cost Carnival nothing if they included VIP boarding etc. as a stockholder benefit.

I have already sent a letter to Carnival Corp, Investor Relations stating that stockholders should be given VIP treatment and they should look into giving all stockholders Platinum status regardless of the number of cruise they have taken on any of Carnival's lines. That would mean that once you apply for the OBC they would know your a stockholder and grant you the VIP treatment and a Platinum card for the cruise. Any comments?

I wouldn't be for it. I think the OBC is incentive enough and stockholders should earn platinum like everyone else. If after analysis it would bring more business and profit then I would reconsider, but I don't see that result.

I agree with Snoozeman, Platinum should be earned...

My wife is getting the platinum perks on our next cruise.

But, she got it the old fashioned way...

she earned it

And the $50 OBC for owning the CCL stock will be even one more perk!

I would dare say that my $50,000 plus investment in the company trumps 10 $300 cruises.

What about 25+ cruises. And, TRUST ME, they were NOWHERE near $300 each... try adjusting by a factor of 10 or so...

I would wager that our cruising "investment" has done A LOT more for CCL's bottom line then our ownership of their stock. That does not even factor in some VERY significant donations in the casino...:D (ok, ok, that's my own FAULT ;) )

This may be coincidence. I was wondering if anyone else had seen this happen.

I recently added 100 shares of CCL to my IRA. I then sent in all of the required documentation to the Research Supervisor at Carnival. Right after that (about 1 -1 1/2 weeks later) while viewing the 'My Reservation' section of the Carnival.com website, I noticed a new link. Right under the 'complete your online boarding pass online' link, there is a new link which states 'View Boarding documents online'. When I click this new link, I get an error message that states:

We apologize, due to the current changes of our web site the page you have requested is no longer available.

Since I have never used this perk before, I was wondering if this was confirmation (sort of) that the credit has been issued, or just a coincidence?

Any thoughts?

I do plan on calling CCL about one month prior to sailing to check on the credit. We sail on 8/20/07 on the Ecstasy.

My husband and I also have 100 shares of CCL stock and we just gave our TA a copy of our confirmation for the purchase of the stock and he faxed it over to Carnival. My cruise docs came in this week and there is a page where it breaks all the charges down for you and on there it has a 100 OBC for us. So when you receive your docs, it definitely should be on there.
