Moondawgie Posted April 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2007 Anyone ever stayed in Long Beach before boarding a ship there? My Mother and 3 seniors want to stay one night precruise in September. Any ideas? I read that the Queen Mary is way overpriced. Best Western Long Beach is $111 on travelocity. Anyone? I would appreciate your thoughts as they are seniors and want hassle-free, clean place. Not expensive. Thanks.
JJ2sail Posted April 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2007 Hyatt Regency Long Beach, $65 on Priceline. Very nice, very close to everything.
VentureMan_2000 Posted April 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2007 I heard Priceline is a good way yo go, if you know how to bid. I'm staying about 5 miles away from the port at Guesthouse International Inn. Have stayed there before. Perfectly fine Best Western type hotel in a safe area near Long Beach Staste University... but no elevators and two stories, so you whould have to make sure you got a bottom floor. $85. fivefoot4 Posted April 29, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2007 I went through Hotwire and got the Hilton at $93 per night plus taxes for 2 nights prior to our cruise on the Pride last November. It was a good location as it was across the road from the Passport Bus stop which you can take to Belmont shore and the Marketplace and other places around the city. You can also walk to the Pike for lunch/dinner or go next door to the Daily Grill. Its mainly a business hotel but very nice room.
