Kids in Bar/Pub on Navigator of the Seas

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

No flaming please!!! We are on Navigator of the Seas on Saturday for a 2 week trip around the Med with two children. We were wondering if children are allowed in the bars/pubs on board at all..olbviously not the casino. It would be nice to be able to go for a drink after dinner and wondered if this was allowed. Our youngest is 8 months, so he will be sleeping, and our eldest is 4.5 years and well behaved. We obviously are not intending staying out late with young children, but after all we are on holiday, and would be nice to stay out for a few drinks before retiring to bed!!

Thanks for any advice.

as long as they don't sit at the bar. Here in Va they can come in and sit at a cocktail table - but not at the bar. I cruise with my dd - and I would take her to sit at a cocktail table with me - but she won't - she runs off to kids club in the middle of dinner - she won't even stay for dessert!!!! I am sure your 4.5 yr old will love kids club.

Have fun!

I guess on Cruise ships no smoking does not apply in bars. Here in England smoking will be banned from public places from 1st July. Although not the 1st July when we are on holiday this obviously does not apply to cruise ships. I am guessing there are no bars on board that have an outside drinking area? This would be ideal....if not to chilly!!

Thanks for your replies.

I wouldn't recommend the Two Poets for children that young, they have a guitarist/vocalist and it can get pretty crowded and smokey, as it is fairly enclosed. A lot of the other bars are open, should have no problem as long as the kids are not at the bar.

For Wakelover.... See you latest thread went POOF as well, when we were on Navigator, they had Guiness and Boddys on draught.

It has never been a problem for us and our son now 8. He loves to go and sit and watch people dance. The smoke has never really been that heavy for us.

Why not check out the in cabin baby-sitting service. Check your toddler into AO after dinner. The baby will already be sleeping. Then you and DH could go out an enjoy yourselves without having to worry about anything.

HAPPY CRUISING! ENJOY! :)

No, not for the baby. The minimum age is 1 year. They can take the SLEEPING baby with them, if they want. The babysitter would be for the 4.5 year old. :)

Unless the person at the next table is actively smoking, you probably won't notice it! Most of the bars do have a non-smoking area, so that should be ok. Although, the toddler may want to be in AO--then it's a moot point!
