I could not get the link to work.. so perhaps this is in there.. but I love the fact that the word POSH comes from an old ship term. Port Outbound, Starboard Home. When traveling to America from the England, the wealthy would want the Port side going, and the Starboard side coming back to ensure sun in the cabin for warmth. So a POSH booking was something to aspire to..

3) Pool deck chair hogs (They woke up before you)
4) Bunk bed (How many kids can you take with you)
5) Compasses (Where can I go tomorrow to make a fool of myself)
6) Midnight Buffet (Last fill up before bed time)
7) Early and late seating (Know your waiter)
8) Formal night, casual night (You were wearing what?)
9) Promenade (Shopping mall)
10) Starboard and Port (left and right)
11) Room safe (passport and Tip holder)
12) Tender (How many big people can you stuff is a little boat)
13) Snorkling (Swimming with a mask)
14) Port fees (Every one has to take their share)
15) Tipping, tipping and more tipping (Tipping)
16) Auction (Free champagne)
17) Bingo (Casino in disguise)
18) Sea Pass (Buy now pay later)
19) Balcony, window and inside cabin (Closet size)
20) Rendezvous (One more drink before dinner)
21) Life vest (One fits no one. After a few meals you'll never fit in it)
22) Cruise confirmation dance, (Oh Yeah Oh Yeah We are going)
23) Nightly shows (Vegas here I come)
24) BAR (Ship stabilizer or Someting to do between meals)
25) Soda card ($40 Sticker, Kids bar bill)
26) Room minibar (You touch, you pay)
27) Concierge (Another person to Tip)
28) Maitre D (Invisible man, Tip me anyway)
29) Onboard Duty-free (One more drink for the road)
30) Embarkation (in-bar-aktion, credit card check-in)
31) Debarkation (the-bar-aktion, Find your black ribbon marked luggage or
run home to book your next cruise)

I knew the term, but didn't know where it came from. Thanks Matt!

My favorite term is Berth. My favorite part of planning the cruise and favorite part of the ship is my berth. ;) I love being able to pick it out, do research on the location and just love hanging out on those sunny balconies! I guess you could say that I am a POSH person. :D
