Steamboats - Help?

We are planning a land tour to Berlin and Munich in October. One day in Berlin was not going to be enough time to really see the city.

 

I have been checking hotels in Munich for October 10-15, 2007. Why are the hotels so expensive over 200 euros for the night of October 10? I thought Octoberfest would be over by then.

I don´t have a clue. Oktoberfest is ending Oct 7th this year. Maybe there´s a conference or bigger trade show going on.

 

Check with www.muenchen.de . They also have the smaller, family operated hotels there not only the chain brands. There are a couple of low budget hotels in Munich in quite good locations.
