turtle7178 Posted May 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2007 We are only gone for 5 days on the Explorer of the Seas and have enough 'formal' pictures to last a lifetime....if dining at Portofino's does my husband HAVE to have a jacket or can he get away with dockers and a nice shirt? Thanks!:)

Thanks!:) Dockers and a nice shirt will be fine! The recommended dress is smart casual...you will see jackets and even tuxes on formal night, but it is not required. cb at sea Posted May 31, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2007 On non-formal evenings, the majority of men wear polo or Hawaiian shirts! You may see some in jackets without ties, and a few (usually older men) will wear the sportcoat/tie combo.

Thanks!:) Absolutely no problem. That's exactly what we did on the Enchantment over New Year's - didn't want to do the second formal night, so we went to Chops. My son wore a nice button down shirt, nice pants, no tie. He looked great and fit in perfectly.
