salmon fishing and flightseeing in Talkeetna

I'm a first-timer to Alaska and cruising. I will be posting many questions in the next few weeks since my Mom and I are in the fun stage of picking excursions. We'll be on RCCL's Vision departing Seward June 18th. We are doing the land touring on our own one week before and would like to go salmon fishing before the cruise begins to save time for other unique activities at the ports. We heard Talkeetna is an excellent location for a half day guided fishing trip for King salmon. We'll be in Talkeetna June 14th and 15th. Is this true and if so, which charters do you recommend? Also, we wanted to use the toursaver coupon for a flightsee to Ruth Glacier by Talkeetna Air Taxi. Anyone been on that flight in particular? Is it as spectacular as it seems?

Her husband can answer questions about fishing and he is with Talkeetna Air which also has flightseeing and a coupon with toursaver. She will answer in an unbiased way about the different flight options of both Talkeetna Aero and Talkeetna Air Taxi.

We used the coupon for Talkeetna Air Taxi and took the Glacier landing. We loved it. A great experience. Talkeetna Aero has summit flights also.

Flightseeing from Talkeetna is excellent. I do like the summit flights, but depending on your preferences ski planes are great too.
