outlets on Sapphire Princess

One outlet in the bathroom that may or may not be connrcted to the wall switch.

At the desk, there are two outlets that are very close together.

The opposite wall has the T.V./fridge combo. Behind the TV, you will find another outlet. On past cruises, we have put a power stip there and kept the majority of our gizmo chargers out of sight behind the TV.

For any cruisers whose home country uses 240V power, there is an outlet underneath the bed which is 240V - fantastic for those of us who have dryers, straighteners, curlers etc. which use 240V. The outlet uses a European adaptor - the one with two round pins only. The bedside lamp on the wall closest to the wardrobe connects to it. We took a power board and our European adaptor so could put everything into it (except the bedside lamp as our power board is Australian). It does mean moving the bed out a bit but it was so worth it!:)

Welcome to the 21st century, on the last cruise we used all of the following:

Laptop and wireless mouse

IPod speaker system and charger

PDA and charger

Mini DV camcorder and charger

Battery charger for digital still camera

Portable DVD player

The cruiselines lag about five years behind what the public wants when designing ships. Ships built not that long ago only had one socket, today's ships have two. I predict a third will be added to the newer ships built within a few years.

Hi Mindyme

You can use your cell phone charger in a US outlet (provided you have the right adaptor plug) because they are just a trickle feed and it doesn't matter if it is 110V or 240V. Same with laptops. But things like hairdryers etc. need the correct voltage. Glad I could be of assistance!
