Luckysll Posted July 3, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 3, 2007 There are pink dolphins when you have photoshop. Yeah, unfortunately, that was my first thought, too. Would like to think it's real, but I guess I'm getting too jaded in my old age. :)
ruskatab Posted July 4, 2007 Author #8 Share Posted July 4, 2007 This was on fox news today. It is real and yes it is an albino dolphin. There are pink dolphins that live in the Amazon in South American but this dolphin is a bottlenose dolphin. There is a story on the website with the pictures. Its also on foxnews. ruskatab Posted July 4, 2007 Author #11 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Hi brn2crz! The Guadalupe River is going to be fine on the weekends. The tubing businesses have been doing terrible so they are going to be releasing water during the week and slowing it down for the weekends. The Comal is fine even though it poured here for 6 hours, it really takes alot for it flood. The best place to get in at is at Prince Solms park. You start up river and then float down to the tube chute, its a blast. Then you float for about 45 minutes past Schlitterbahns and get out at the public exit. There are signs saying get out. You can have the shuttle pick you up or if 2 groups are coming just park a car at the park and one by the public exit. That what we do. http://www.newbraunfels.com/ http://www.nbcham.org/ Are you the one organizing the group cruise on the Voyager? I would like some info..I love the Mariner and im sure I would love the Voyager.

Cuizer2 Posted July 4, 2007 #16 Share Posted July 4, 2007 I saw a lot of people that were that color on my last cruise. Maybe the dolphin spent too much time in the sun also. :p
Cotton Posted July 4, 2007 #17 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Ruskatab - Thx for posting the site for the pink (albino) dolphin. What a beautiful sight to behold! I sent that on to my son, because I know he has been on at least two fishing charters with that company. It's a very reputable company. I have no doubt this is the 'real' thing. ruskatab Posted July 4, 2007 Author #18 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Your welcome Cotton. I just hope no ones gets any ideas of capturing it or hords of people go out to get a look at it and harms it. Hopefully they will look at it from a good distance and it is around for a long time.

Cotton Posted July 4, 2007 #21 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Yes, I was thinking of some gulf aquarium trying to catch it. Would be a huge 'draw'. However, I would hate that. I have a problem with dolphins in captivity. Like Elsa, they were "born free" and should be allowed to stay that way.:)
