FP: Change to Euros?

Will the local CFP currency be dropped in favor of Euros starting 1/1/08?

Would they not be better switching to POLYO's. I mean it is POLYNESIC.

You might want to check with Tahiti.gov, but I couldn't see why they would be changing. Tahiti obtained its freedom from France several years ago and the money they established is their own.

Both New Caledonia and Tahiti use CPF and I haven't read anywhere that they will be changing their currency.

 

They are their own Country and I am sure they don't want to change to Euros.
