AJCruizer Posted July 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2007 I am NOT a smoker and was just wondering if they permit smoking in the casino? I forget and was asked by my uncle who is coming with us on the AOS and likes to smoke a Cigar from time to time.:D

PhoenixCruiser Posted July 6, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Yes, smoking is allowed in the casino. Not sure if they allow Cigars, however. ###

bluefintuna Posted July 6, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 6, 2007 On most of our recent cruises they have either had a private room or a cigar bar, but I don't think cigars are allowed in the casinos.
FitzLA Posted July 6, 2007 #8 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Cigars are only allowed in the cigar lounge, outdoor smoking areas or your cabin/balcony.

cb at sea Posted July 6, 2007 #11 Share Posted July 6, 2007 No cigars in the casino--my hubby switched to cigarettes because of that rule. (He's since quit, thank God!) They have a cigar bar/lounge and he can smoke them on the outside decks (smoking side, only)

Gonzo70 Posted July 7, 2007 #14 Share Posted July 7, 2007 Fortunately the tide is starting to shift in favor of no smoking in casinos. Holland America recently banned smoking on one of their most popular ships, the Noordam, and is has been so successful they are expanding this to other ships in their fleet. It is just a matter of time before more cruise lines stop allowing a small percentage of their customers to poison the staff and non-smoking majority. Oh, poor baby, now you can cruise with Holland so heaven forbid you won't get poisoned. You sound like a real whiner!
Hondu Posted July 8, 2007 #23 Share Posted July 8, 2007 Just got off the Dawn Princess and they had the same (setup) alternating nights for smoking/non-smoking in the casino. Looks like a 50% less chance of a fire at sea.
