Cape Liberty - disembark question

I have read that you have to ride a bus from the cruise terminal at Cape Liberty to the ship when you arrive. Do you also have to ride a bus when the cruise is over back to the terminal? How does it work?

You do take a shuttle bus from the terminal to the ship. On the return we waited at the ship for our prearranged cab to take us back. Other passengers were also waiting at the ship area for transportation. If you are parking at the pier I think you would take the shuttle to the parking lot.

Where do you claim your luggage checked on the ship the night before? In the terminal? Would your private transportation stop there for you to claim your luggage?

You can't leave the terminal until after you claim your luggage and clear customs.
