TP Specialty Restaurants - Open Day One?

I realize the dining room is open and a bit crazy on the first night in Papeete as cruisers are arriving and others disembarking.

However, are either Sabatini's or Sterlings open the first night? Our TA says yes but I would like to verify in advance. Thanks!

Oregonian is right, there is no specialty dining on embarkation day.

The dining room is not crazy on embarkation day. The newly arrived passengers eat in the dining room and the departing passengers eat at the buffet. The only difference about the dining room on embarkation day is that you will not sit at your regularly assigned table, nor necessarily dine at your regularly scheduled dining time.

KruisingKJaren is correct re the Dining Room times on the day of embarkation. The first passengers to go on board usually end up at the early sitting and the later ones get the late sitting.

We were on board very early and amongst all the papers we were handed, was a card telling us we were on early sitting the first night. Everyone in our group was given an early sitting card even though some of us were on late sitting.

It all works out the next night.
