taralin Posted July 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2007 I just booked this cabin (6030) and wanted to make sure it is what I think it is..a larger balcony. We don't lose cabin space to make up for the larger balcony do we? The rep with Celebrity tried very hard to talk me out of it since it is near the front of the ship but I am taking the word of all of you over her. taralin Posted July 16, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted July 16, 2007 But does anyone know if we lose cabin space due to the larger size of the balcony?
llbiopoet Posted July 16, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 16, 2007 As I understand it, no. This picture might help: http://travel.webshots.com/photo/1373724618072643706PYnbJg
chessbriar Posted July 16, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 16, 2007 But does anyone know if we lose cabin space due to the larger size of the balcony? No you don't. It ends up being double deep due to the way the ship was designed. 6030 is one of the best of the sweet
BigAl94 Posted July 16, 2007 #8 Share Posted July 16, 2007 Are the "Sweet 16" noisy being above the theatre?

SharkieRools Posted July 16, 2007 #10 Share Posted July 16, 2007 We were in 6030 on the Infinity - same size cabin, double the balcony size. Another plus is you really only have one neighboring balcony. The balcony to your right is a normal sized one so it only extends half the way up your balcony :D No noise from the theatre or anywhere else

koolforkatz Posted July 16, 2007 #14 Share Posted July 16, 2007 Thanks for the picture and the info! These boards are priceless. Absolutely! Six of my friends and I booked a Millenium cruise on Friday. We booked four of the Sweeth 16 cabins (my husband and I in 6030). I would never have known about them if not for this board. You certainly can't tell from the deck plans! This place is the greatest.

Heee Heee...we're off to the SUMMIT in 2 days to Vancouver B.C. to cruise up to Alaska... :D Yep..our cabin is none other than #6030... :D I picked that cabin last October while we were on the SUMMIT for an L.A. to Hawaii to L.A. cruise. When I booked the cruise, the X cruise rep told me about that cabin.
Andym Posted July 17, 2007 #16 Share Posted July 17, 2007 We were on Infinity in 6030. The cabin is exactly the same size as the rest. The verandah is twice the size. The cabin was very quiet. Ask your attendant to get you 2 loungers (drop him some $ )
emcee207 Posted July 17, 2007 #17 Share Posted July 17, 2007 Hi, we're in 6034 on the Constellation in Jan, from info on these boards found previously I think it also has an extended balcony but now I'm starting to wonder. Can anyone reconfirm?? Thanks!
Andym Posted July 17, 2007 #18 Share Posted July 17, 2007 Sorry to say, but the 16 stop at 6030. 6032 onwards are normal sized balconies.
taralin Posted July 17, 2007 Author #19 Share Posted July 17, 2007 Why do you suppose the Celebrity reps aren't aware that the "sweet sixteen" have larger balconies? Or was that just my experience with one. ..
excitedofharpenden Posted July 17, 2007 #20 Share Posted July 17, 2007 Why do you suppose the Celebrity reps aren't aware that the "sweet sixteen" have larger balconies? Or was that just my experience with one. .. Because they are less well informed than the members of this board. Or maybe they want to keep the secret to themselves so they get those bigger balconies;) Phil
gracecarmo Posted July 17, 2007 #21 Share Posted July 17, 2007 On the portside of the ship, cabin 6035 is the last Sweet. We have it booked for a B2B in Feb. on the Connie.
emcee207 Posted July 17, 2007 #22 Share Posted July 17, 2007 :( I'm not happy. I've been going by a thread posted by "nitrodog" back in Sept of 2005 that supposedly listed all the standard cabins on M Class ships. It clearly states 6034 is a Cat 2c cabin with an extended balcony. That is why I grabbed it when I saw it.
BigAl94 Posted July 17, 2007 #23 Share Posted July 17, 2007 I don't see a 6034 on my deckplan, nor a 6029 starboard
gracecarmo Posted July 17, 2007 #24 Share Posted July 17, 2007 6034 and 6029 are both on the M class ships. Perhaps you are looking at the C class ships? 6034 does not have an extended balcony.
