Galley tours on Millenium?

I saw that another cruiser on this website got a Galley tour on the Summit....does Celebrity do this? If so, anyone know how to arrange it?

(In case it helps, the person in the photos was staying in a CS suite, and we are in a lowly aft CC cabin :)).

Thanks!

I have been on galley tours too...they are interesting:) and depending

on who your guide is...well, just listen carefully because the officers and chefs

accents can be quite strong.

I took my first bridgetour recently as well!:D that was really

interesting. They require you to sign a form for that one;)

Members of our family have been on both the galley tour and bridge tour. We've never stayed in a suite and both tours were done on a first trip with Celebrity. There was some hobnobbing with the hostess by a member of our group that resulted in the invitations, as well as an invite to the captain's table for part of the group. Members of our group are also involved in the restaurant business, which may have helped.

The kids, of course, always get a bridge tour through the kids' club.

We would love a galley tour or a bridge tour- we talked about that on our last cruise but had no idea it was an option.

This cruise is a big one- we're celebrating my husband's return from a year's deployment in Iraq...I would love to somehow arrange it to surprise him!

So, could I call Celebrity now, 8 months out? Or wait until we're on board? Who then could I approach about it? Who is "the hostess" you mentioned? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi, first......my best goes out to you and your family...please

thank your husband for me.

Next, calling them now won't help. Too many cruises in between

now and 8 months from now;)

After you board the ship~within the first couple of days go see

the Capt's Club Hostess.:) She is usually the one who handles

these requests.

Normally the tours don't take place till 1/2 way through the cruise.

Hope he arrives home safely!!!!
