Guadeloupe

Will be stopping in Guadeloupe in Dec. and will be there for 9 hours. Can any one recommend a tour guide? Can't seem to find much information on this island.

You DON"T NEED a tour guide. Just grab a cab and go to St. Anne's beach. Fabulous soft white sand, plenty of restaurants, etc.

Hello. We will be in Pointe a Pitre on a Tuesday in February. Is the market on on Tuesdays? Where is it located from the Port? I also read a nice beach to go is at Le Gosier. Is Ste-Anne nicer and worth going? Is there any suggestion of area we should visit? Thank you.

Le Gosier is nice, and there a lighthouse on a small offshore island.

 

Almost any of the beaches along the south coast of the eastern half of Guadeloupe are nice

- breezy, much like Barbados' South Coast!

I read somewhere something about Pigon Island & the Cousteau Under Water Park. Has anyone been there & how is the snorkeling? Any other spots recommended for snorkeling?
