Question About Elite Status

While I was innocently surfing around the Cruise Personalizer this morning I discovered that I now have Elite stauts. Woohoo!:D :D I'm trying to act nonchalant(sp?), but am very excited.:eek: I didn't think they would ever straighten out the correct cruise information--but lo and behold--they have.

 

My question is: to those of you who have cruised with "elite" are the perks the same as the suite perks? Did you get the extended room service menus, preferred "anytime dining" reservations, etc.?

Congrats Lynda Yes you get the free laundry-dry cleaning as well. But be sure it isn't Elite after this cruise, do you have the 15?

Yes on the rezzies for sure, about room service I don't know but I assure you you won't be hungry sailing with us.

The real reason I wanted to know about the preferred rezzies is I thought it could help all of us on our Nov. cruise. Just in case we have a group going to dinner and can't get a good time spot. Of course if you (with all your charm)make the reservations, I'm sure we won't have any trouble. The extended menu would only be used for breakfast. No other meals will be eaten in room.

We can hope that that info is as "reliable" as the other stuff we hear.

I just called Princess and I was told the "preferred anytime dining reservations" and the "extended room service menu", are only for the suites. Oh well.

Has anyone ever utilized this service?

Yes, I was in a suite on my last cruise and it came stocked with (I will try to remember): 8 airline sized bottles (2 each) of vodka, canadian club, gin and cognac. In the frig we got 2 cans of tonic, 2 imported beers, 2 pepsi's, two ginger ale and two bottles of water. I think that's what we got. As far as I know, everyone we talked to got the same set-up no matter what they put in their profile. We did not get charged for any of that. If we wanted it refilled, we would have had to pay for it. A couple at our table did not drink and we gave them our soft drinks and they gave us all their alcohol.

Here is a link to the suite perks. Forget the packing/unpacking. That's been eliminated. Interesting questions about the double mini-bar. You probably should be entitled to a double set-up. Certainly worth asking.

We got the double set up, one for the suite one for elite.

We were told the following reason for not getting three set-ups: If two elites share a cabin or suite you will only get one set-up for both of them for the elite-status. Princess is counting the number of cabins and not the number of elite-members staying in it.
