Daghis Posted July 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2007 We heard from my brother-in-law's wife that on the Explorer of the Seas, there was an opportunity to have a 3-course lunch at Portofino followed by a galley tour. The package also included a cocktail and a cookbook of Portofino menu items. My hubby would like to know whether they do this on the Liberty of the Seas as well. Anyone know? Newsbuff16 Posted July 31, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2007 We were told that the tour was given only on the Explorer. We participated in it this past Saturday and it was fantastic!!! The lunchepn followed the tour. Apparently, they had to get permission from corporate headquarters to have it.
cot427 Posted July 31, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2007 I would love to do that on the Freedom. It would be awesome. That galley would be something to see.
Fblack Posted July 31, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2007 We did it a few years ago on the Radiance. But I thought it was by invitation only.
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted July 31, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2007 As far as I know this offer was not available on Liberty of the Seas, at least on the May 26 cruise. If it was, it may have been a private, invitation only event perhaps for Diamond Plus C&A members or Royal suite guests or some similar elite group. It certainly wasn't publicized. I would have loved to be part of a tour such as that.
