aarrcc2 Posted August 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2007 Anyone know if there is an elevator on the Viking Sun? Since we usually book ocean cruises, I just assumed there would be an elevator but now I have my doubts. Thanks for information.
Rare steamboats Posted August 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2007 As far as I can see on the deckplans there is no elevator on the Viking Sun. There isn´t any elevator mentioned in the description either. Only a few river cruise ships do have an elevator because of the limited space. Usually ships do have only 3 decks. Some - like the Amadeus ships - do have some kind of elevator which is not connecting all decks (the lowest passenger cabin deck is not connected by the elevator). Usually there´s no elevator going up to the Sun Deck. Some ships do offer a chair lift up to the Sun Deck. steamboats

pacmom Posted August 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2007 The Clara Schumann on the Elbe didn't have an elevator, but one of the chair lifts. It accessed all three decks and was well used. Pat
