Karitannis Posted August 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2007 Help us decide which cruise to choose a trip to Bermuda for 4 adults next summer. Our only criteria is that we would prefer a new(er) ship and price is not the most important feature. Thanks in advance!!
CruzMom3 Posted August 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2007 We are trying to decide the same thing. There will be two of us and we would actually like to leave out of NY or NJ just because we would like to visit NY for a few days before our cruise. We will be leaving next summer as well. Since we've never been to Bermuda before, we would like to try and spend at least 2 1/2 to 3 days there. We are also struggling with which port to stay at as well. So many decisions. Good luck on your search.

Rare Keith1010 Posted August 9, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2007 There are lots of cruise lines to choose from. Another one to consider is Celebrity Cruise Lines. We have sailed with them twice to Bermuda and we enjoyed it quite a bit. Keith

I see Celebrity is not sailing there in 2008 and at this point it looks like RCI will only be doing a only 5 day to bermuda which will cut back considerably on the amout of time in Bermuda. We are on the Empress this year out of Philly which is 7 days and 2 1/2 days in Bermuda but in 2008 Empress will not return to Philly.
Nanatravel Posted August 9, 2007 #8 Share Posted August 9, 2007 At this time, the newly refitted Azamara Quest (Celerity's premium line) is sailing to Bermuda. Also, next year, the NCL Dream will sale from Boston to St. Geroge. Bon voyage Nanatravel
smdubowsky Posted August 9, 2007 #9 Share Posted August 9, 2007 It's the Azamara Journey that's going to Bermuda this summer.
Rare Got2Cruise Posted August 9, 2007 #10 Share Posted August 9, 2007 It's the Azamara Journey that's going to Bermuda this summer. But, next summer the AJ is not going to Bermuda. I think the OP will be happy with the Dawn to Bermuda. It is a megaship, and will spend three days in Bermuda. If money is not an object, then she can upgrade to a suite. Writeratsea Posted August 10, 2007 #11 Share Posted August 10, 2007 But, next summer the AJ is not going to Bermuda. I think the OP will be happy with the Dawn to Bermuda. It is a megaship, and will spend three days in Bermuda. If money is not an object, then she can upgrade to a suite. This is probably the best choice. The Dawn is a newer, mega ship. It leaves from New York, so there are many choices of flights to get there. And most importantly you get 3 days in Bermuda. Bermuda is a small island, only 21 miles long. Yet it is jampacked with many interesting and fun things to do. It is hard to believe that you run out of time to do everything that you would like to do. I feel that it is very similar to Disney with the variety of activities available. This itinerary is less about the ship than it is about the destination. You do not island hop as a Carribean cruise would, you are in one port for your time. Your ship serves as a floating hotel for you to use a base to enjoy all the activities that you (hopefully) have planned ahead of time. The Dawn would fit your needs perfectly.:)
webfoot3 Posted August 21, 2007 #12 Share Posted August 21, 2007 In 08 NCL has the Majasty sailing to Bermuda for 7 days from mid August thru September. After that it switches to a 7 day canadian schedule for October, Looks like Philly will be dark most of 08:cool:
