Tricia724 Posted May 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2004 One of the Celebrity excursions is the Guide's Choice Adventure Hike in Juneau. It's supposed to be about 4 to 4-1/2 hours and while I go walking on a glacier, my friend thought he might take this excursion. Has anyone done this excursion or a similar one? For that matter, is there decent hiking in Juneau? Any input would be appreciated.
Thoth Posted May 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2004 That sounds just like the trip I have booked . We can only hope that it's good!
PassionFruit Posted May 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2004 We went on a hike beside Mendenhall Glacier on our last Alaska trip. We really enjoyed it. I don't remember it being 4+ hours, but it was 6 years ago, so my memory may be off! I would bet that a Guide's Choice Hike would be lots of fun. Budget Queen Posted May 20, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2004 Plenty of great hiking in Juneau- your friend may also want to consider going on their own. Nice trails up Mt. Roberts and the East Loop trail- completely well marked is a great work out. Plus the bonus of a look at Mendenhall too.
