happycruiser1942 Posted August 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2007 Can I purchase OBC before we leave? We are going on out first cruise Feb. 2007, is there any way that I can purchase OBC before we leave to help pay for our bar bill or gambling money. jules815 Posted August 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2007 Good question! :) I was thinking it might be nice to put some money on our seapass before we cruise. Not a lot, but I was thinking anywhere from $200 - $400 would help. Can you take cash to the purser's desk on the first day and have them apply it to your seapass or would I purchase it as a gift to myself through Gifts and Gear in advance? I'm sure people have done this before. I just don't know how.
Havana Daydreamin Posted August 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2007 You can do either. I have done both with equal ease. I kind of prefer doing it before hand and having it all done.
Schplinky Posted August 23, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2007 We do this all the time. When we have a cruise not too long before a birthday and people are asking what one of us would like, we usually say OBC. They just call the Gifts and Gear number and it's taken care of. shipknotshore Posted August 23, 2007 #8 Share Posted August 23, 2007 I'm sure glad that RCI has this available. They are our favorite kind of gift now. :D
kelleigh229 Posted August 25, 2007 #9 Share Posted August 25, 2007 we do it all the time. Call Gifts and gear and put money down. The most they can take per transaction is $500. I love it - by the time we get onboard it feels like "free money". Have fun!
