I used to enjoy bringing my own beverages onboard, but not even worth chancing anymore. They don't even allow JBOY or Wellwishers to deliver alcohol anymore to Miami. The drinks on the ship are so cheap anyway, so there is no reason. The only reason I used to like bringing on my own was to enjoy drinks on my balcony, but now I just order room service. Not a big deal.

We are not big drinkers, so we don't worry about bringing my own beverages on board, but I do know someone who brings on a large bottle of 7-UP;) , they pour the 7-UP out and put their beverages in.

Just off the LOS, 7/18 departure. No problem getting beverages on board for that departure. We did send it through check in baggage though. Have fun!

Just off the LOS on 8/25...we do not bring our own beverages. We purchase on board..no biggy.

 

I did however see a few people have their bag gone thru at the first check point. I assumed it was alcohol being taken.

We bought several two liter bottles of soda in San Juan and brought them on board with no problems.

 

In St. Maarten, we bought some rum (mostly variety packs of 50 ml bottles, but also one 200 ml bottle), and that wasn't taken either.

I think it was 50-50 chance of getting it taken away. I heard that some folks were bold enough to set up a bar in their suite and have it taken away then. :eek: I think if you do get it through, tip your room steward $10 (you'll save at least that much on drinks) and be discreet.

I bought a 4 pack of little wine bottles at the store in Miami,

packed it my suitcase and it came to my room No problem.

It was nice to enjoy a little cocktail before dinner.

Our tablemates bought rum in Jamaica and they were allowed to bring it on board.

I also bought tequilla in Cozumel Mexico and picked right up off the xray

belt and into my room.
