Passport Signature?

I just recieved my passport and it lists my middle name but when I signed it I did not sign my middle name. Is this a big deal? I called the # on the U.S. Passport site and they said no but the women didn't fill me with confidence with her answer. I just don't want to have any problems.

If you mean the difference between your legal signature and your full legal name, nothing to worry about there. I'm sure you have seen signatures of people that you can't identify any one letter much less a middle name.

Don't worry. Jlp20 is right. Nothing to worry about - it doesn't matter at all.

Middle name is not required for your passport signature. Just your normal everyday signature that could be matched up with a drivers license or other signature if need be.

I dont think they even check the signature page. I just went through customs twice in Canada last week all they did was look at the picture and exp date and then looked at me to see if I looked like the pic.

No worries on the signature. My DD is 6, and so I had to sign for her and, come to think of it, I didn't even sign her middle name. It just needs to be signed to be valid. That's it. Don't worry.

Ok. I can't find this on another thread. I've been reading that the backlog for passports is gone. I live in texas and mailed mine (regular) on 9/7 and i received an email today that said that it would be 10-12 weeks. My twin mailed hers on 9/6 and received her passport on 9/18. Do I need to panic? We sail in December?

i just received my application back because I signed it middle last instead of first middle last. Why would it matter there and not on the actual passport? I would sign it first midle last to be sure you have no problems.

you should get it....i think you can go on line and check the status....
