Belle Posted August 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2004 SLOW Pledge is over September 9th. (Summer Loss's Our Way.) How is everyone doing? I hope if you pledged to lose, you are.. or if pledged to stay the same, you did. Two more weeks to go. Then will start a new one to get us losing for the holidays and then continue it thru them, so we won't gain.
PINEVIEW01 Posted August 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2004 Belle With all my ups and downs I think I'll make the 5 lb min. pledge. Next thur. will be my last weigh in before a 15 day cruise. So, I'll be looking for the next pledge when I get back to get the cruise gain off:) Melody

Belle Posted August 28, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted August 28, 2004 That's why we had the pledge. To try to help us lose or stay the same during these months. The main thing was to make us THINK of what we were eating..drinking and our exercise! Us thinking about it, maybe we weren't good all the time but some of the times..so thats better then not doing nothing at all. I believe that trying to Pledge put us all ahead of the "diet struggle"! Some of you made your pledge's..Congrats! Some had loss's..mavbe not as much as you wanted but you loss. Some stayed the same..you wanted to lose but at least you didn't gain. Some had gains....you wanted to lose or stay the same but I bet you gained less. No matter what you did..your better off then if you didn't do anything. It's always a struggle..we just keep trying! The Holidays are coming!

Belle Posted August 29, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted August 29, 2004 Are you ready for your cruise? Your going to have so much fun! I've been on only one two week cruise, it was so nice on the eighth day that you didn't have to... get off the ship! It was a Panama Cruise to. I was surprised how interesting it was going thru the locks. The water going up and down, gates opening. It takes all day. Also you don't have as many ports on this cruise, so you get to enjoy the ship, do what you want and relax. Bon Voyage! (wish I was going)

This is the first summer cruise for me and I have to WEAR the cloths I'm trying to pack 2. Yes. I will have fun if I can just get on that ship. Flying in to FFL Sunday morning and so is that Huricane it seems. 3. Yes, this will also be my first two. Glad to hear you felt that way on the 8th day. 4. Can't wait to watch the lock work. This is something I've wanted to see since 8th grade when we were studing them. 5. And lastly, I always try to book cruise with fewer ports. I LIKE being on the ship. (But the truth be told, I booked this one for one reasone., the price. It would have been along time down the road if I hadn't stumbled on this one at this price.) Thank You for all your good thoughts, Belle Melody
