 For anyone who has done a Vow Renewal Ceremony recently can you tell me if a commerative plaque is included and if there is still live entertainment? We are sailing in December on the Westerdam and would be interested in this package.

Thanks so much to everyone on this board for the info you provide!!!

They give a blue 10 X 11 booklet that holds all the certificates and has slots for pictures they take and ones you may take.

Check our webshots for pictures of ceremony and pictures of certificates.

We have done this several times and it well worth the expense. We always top off the evening with dinner in the Pinnacle.

Most of the time they do it on a formal night.

Pictures in webshot are of time I surprised Ruth with the ceremony. She thought she was going to birthday party...

An old post:

Ahoy!

We did so aboard the Prinsendam in May for our 35th. For the $149 you rec'd flowers, champagne, dinner at the PG, pics and the ceremeony. Our's was in Captain Turner's cabin along with one other couple. Had an organ player, ship photographer and was attended by the CD, HD, assistants and such. We invited another couple (that ran $12.50 additional for each guest). Lots of caviar and hors de ors (sorry terrible at spelling), and any drink desired that was stocked in the captain's bar. Started around 1915 and ended about 2000 hours. We reserved our included PG that night (it was a sea day by the way). A copy of the vows plus a dozen or so color 5X7's, etc. were included in the wedding folder with a signed certificate from Captain Turner. Very nice affair. It was a surprise for my wife (envelope on counter at embarkation). IMO well worth it.

Have a Great Cruise!

Bon Voyage and Good Health!

Thanks to all!!

prescottbob: In the Captains Quarters!! How nice!

There seems to be different locations. Seems to depend on the ship and/or Captain.

The Prisendam is the smallest ship so that can be an advantage!!!!

Has anyone else had caviar?

Is there a cake after the ceremony?

JimVrhovac: We are also celebrating our 35th. I'm glad you found it nice.

What type of drinks were served? Did you get the Champange in your cabin, at the celebration, or afterwards.

Ahoy!

If I recall a bottle of 'bubbly' for your room was included. Plenty of champagne or any other liquor (high end brands) were available behind the captain's bar (bartender was there). Had a couple of Wild Turkey doubles over ice myself before and after the ceremony. And yes, there was a nice big wedding cake. I'll give you a link to some pix. There's a load of pictures there (I have yet to sort and edit) but somewhere in the first 50 pix or so in the Prinsendam album there will be some shots of the ceremony, etc. Just ignore the rest. Waiting for winter to set in to 'get ' er done'.

If you are going to try and surprise your spouse.

See the Guest Relations Manager and the front dest personnel as early as possibe so they send no information to the room. Otherwise they will send coursages to the room, invitation to the room, and may call about arrangements.

It can be done with a little effort and checking the incoming mail before spouse each day...

Goood Luck
