Tortuga Rum in Barbados?

I noticed on the Tortuga Rum website that they have a bakery in Barbados. Does anyone know if I can buy Tortuga Banana or Coconut Rum there? I am not interested in the cakes, only the flavored rum. If they do have it, does anyone know where the shop is located?

Couldn't promise you that you'll get Tortuga Rum

here on Barbados at the other end of the Lesser Antillean island chain

where we make our own flavoured rums

but you won't go away empty-handed, I'm sure..:)

 

I can't be sure,of course.. but if the Tortuga outfit has a bakery here

it's a good bet they're using local Barbados rum/rums.

 

I see the cakes offered at our local supermarkets..

- wasn't really aware they're baked right here

(I'm kinda clueless - I have a wife for that sorta stuff..):D

Noticed your Tortuga Rum Cake in the supermarket, this Sunday morning!

Three sizes. small medium large, natch..

 

Made in Barbados it said on the octagonal yellowish boxes

(you taught me something!)

- I guess the 'Tortuga' bit is more a name than anything else??

 

 

Think the prices were around Bds$ 7, 22 and 38 to match those 3 sizes

- if the old memory is still working after lunch (and 3-4 hrs.) :D

 

Divide those prices by 2 to arrive at USDollar equivalent

i.e. US$ 3.50, 11 and 19

 

 

- and yes there were a few different flavours, I noticed!
